UNC Charlotte veterans:
Former Army Sergeant Kyle White ‘13, who fought in Operation Enduring Freedom, received the Medal of Honor in May 2014. We caught up with Kyle outside UNC Charlotte Center City to discuss a defining battle in Afghanistan, visiting the White House, and his plans for helping veterans in the future.
Doctoral student and veteran Magin Day demonstrated dedication, perseverance and flexibility while in the U.S. Air Force, as both an officer and competitive athlete. Now, thanks in part to an assistantship provided by UNC Charlotte's Graduate School, Magin is preparing for the next step in her professional career.
